„Mediocre“ is a documentary about musicians. It’s about art, about creating, about society and making money. It’s about finding your way as an artist.

We started the journey of this film by asking ourselves: “What is it we really want to do?”

Making a living being an artist can be pretty challenging sometimes. When did we decide to make this our job and does this make us better artists or does it even sabotage our art? We found those eight musicians and made them our protagonists for reflecting what’s on our mind.

Reflection is part of the process. Those artists helped us on our way threw the making of this film. We let each other into our minds and created something new. “Mediocre” is like a collection of thoughts on creativity. It’s like an essay and everybody involved in this project added his personal point of view.

It’s all about the community – so we had a premiere party to celebrate the finish line of this passion project. And it was crazy awesome. Another great evening in the books. Seeing those crazy talented musicians on screen and getting to know them before hearing and seeing them perform live was intense. Being among friends and family in a room like this made us so proud and gave us the opportunity to connect to each other on a whole other level. Film is so powerful and nights like this encourage us even more to work on more independent and free stuff like this.
